Dining services handles food service based on local public health guidelines. To facilitate
nimble changes in service, our dining partner has a three-tier service approach, with
the tiers ranging from least to greatest distancing. In addition, seating for the
cafeteria area has been modified to achieve appropriate physical distancing.
Outdoor seating is being leveraged with limited indoor seating until public health
guidelines recommend otherwise.
Self-service access to food has transitioned to a focus on individual servings and
service by dining staff. Additional modifications have been made for sanitation and
to promote physical distancing.
Meal plans remain required for all students residing in the campus residence halls.
The University is also arranging alternative food service options, including food
truck appearances and allowing food delivery (e.g., Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.).

Housing
Move-in this fall was held over several days with precautions in place to encourage social
distancing and keep the campus community safety. For the spring semester, students
again were asked to sign up for a check-in date and time to ensure appropriate social
distancing during the Jan. 8-10 event.
