Central Florida native Alyson Barber joined the Florida Poly team in July 2018 as an assistant director of development. In this role, she serves as a development liaison for the greater Orlando area, focusing on building relationships and growing support for the University. A practiced fundraising professional with more than 13 years of non-profit and higher education experience, Barber most recently served as the assistant director of corporate and foundation relations at the United States Air Force Academy Endowment in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Prior to her time in Colorado, Barber worked in a variety of development roles at organizations that include Texas Christian University, the American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society, as well as regional non-profits, including Bluffton Self Help (Bluffton, South Carolina) and Senior Citizen Services of Greater Tarrant County (Fort Worth, Texas).
