Sumanth Neelam is a distinguished technology entrepreneur and global business leader. He is the founder and CEO of Mentour Corporation, a New Jersey-based global services firm specializing in digital innovation, consulting, and IT solutions for corporate clients. Under his leadership, Mentour has expanded its footprint across the United States, India, Canada, and Mexico, providing cutting-edge technology services and workforce solutions to a diverse and growing client base. The company has earned repeated recognition from Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 as one of the fastest-growing firms in the United States.

In addition to his work with Mentour, Neelam is the founder and CEO of Odin Group, a Central Florida-based real estate development firm focused on creating sustainable, smart-home communities. His vision reflects a strong commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and enhancing long-term community value.

He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Florida TaxWatch, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit research institute and government watchdog dedicated to promoting sound fiscal policy and accountability throughout the state. His service reflects a deep dedication to public governance, transparency, and civic responsibility.

He began his career as a software engineer, contributing to leading global institutions, including AT&T, Merrill Lynch, Lucent Technologies, and Citigroup. Neelam holds a master’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Hyderabad and a bachelor’s degree from Andhra Loyola College in India.

A strong advocate for education and social equity, Neelam also serves as chairman of the Stuti Saanvi Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive educational sponsorships for underprivileged children in rural India.

Presenter Profile

Michelle Powell serves as the pioneering Risk Manager at Florida Polytechnic University, the state’s sole 100% STEM-dedicated institution. Having been with the university for nearly 11 years, Michelle transitioned from a leadership role in Admissions in October 2023 to establish and evolve the risk management function from the ground up. In this solo capacity, Michelle builds robust frameworks for our dynamic, young university, overseeing our insurance portfolio, consulting on third-party and event risks, and developing critical campus-wide training programs. Michelle has obtained the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) Enterprise Risk Management certificate and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations. Her distinct background in mathematics and engineering, combined with extensive higher education leadership, brings an analytical and strategic approach enhancing the institution’s resilience.
