Thank you to all the business and community leaders from around Polk County who have shown their support for Florida Poly.
Last month, the city of Lakeland, Florida Poly Vision and the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce held a special reception at the Lakeland Center to welcome Ava Parker, Chief Operating Officer. Lakeland Mayor Gow Fields spoke at the reception, as did Parker, who gave the audience an update on the progress of the university. Another special event was held later in the month at the home of Dean and Gina Saunders in Lakeland. More than 100 people were in attendance and Florida Poly administration and staff appreciated the opportunity to get to know them as well as share our mission and vision for the university.
