Auburndale partnership gives Florida Poly Athletics a home base

Florida Polytechnic University and the City of Auburndale are partnering to provide home venues for the University’s newly launched athletics program. High-tech employers draw record crowds of students to spring career fair

With nearly half of Florida Polytechnic University’s student population in attendance, employers filled the University’s Barnett Applied Research Center on Tuesday, Feb. 11, to recruit, interview and hire interns and full-time employees at the 2025 Spring Career and Internship Fair.

Dr. Lily Li is a Professor of Physics at Florida Polytechnic University, where she specializes in materials science, analytical imaging, advanced manufacturing, and biomedical devices. Prior to joining Florida Poly in 2025, she spent 11 years at SUNY Potsdam, where she advanced to Full Professor and developed a 3-2 Engineering dual-degree program with Clarkson University. Her work emphasizes experiential learning and research-driven education to prepare students for careers in STEM fields.
