Research with Impact
Barnett Applied Research Center (BARC)
Opened in 2022, the Barnett Applied Research Center is a powerhouse for applied research, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
With over 90,000 square feet of modern labs, design spaces, and commercial innovation zones, BARC is where tomorrow’s tech is born—and launched into the marketplace. Its award-winning design reflects the bold spirit of Florida Poly’s mission.
Engineering Innovation in Progress
Gary C. Wendt Engineering Building
The Gary C. Wendt Engineering Building is the latest addition to Florida Poly’s growing STEM-focused campus. This 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art academic building will feature advanced engineering labs, collaborative workspaces, faculty offices, and a modern courtyard connecting it to the Barnett Applied Research Center.
Strategically located between the BARC and the IFF Global Citrus Innovation Center, this two-story facility will support the expansion of Florida Poly’s engineering programs and is named in honor of former trustee Gary C. Wendt, whose generous support is helping shape the next generation of STEM leaders.
A Global Hub for Citrus Innovation
IFF Global Citrus Innovation Center
Florida Poly has partnered with IFF, a Fortune 500 global leader in flavor, fragrance, and bioscience, to create the IFF Global Citrus Innovation Center right on campus. This cutting-edge facility brings together IFF’s world-class scientists with Florida Poly faculty and students to pioneer advancements in food, beverage, and scent innovation.
As part of IFF’s global network of more than 50 research centers, the Citrus Innovation Center is transforming campus into a hub for real-world, industry-driven STEM discovery with global impact.

Student Development Center (SDC)
The Student Development Center (SDC) keeps students active, connected, and empowered. From swimming laps in the geothermal pool to exploring tech-powered fitness solutions, this facility was made for movement and innovation. Features include:

- Outdoor 8-lane heated pool

Wellness Center

A Campus Living Experience Like No Other
Residence Halls
Florida Poly offers three impressive residence halls—just steps from class and campus life. Each hall is fully furnished and designed to support your academic success, well-being, and connection to the Florida Poly community. Residence halls include:
- High-speed internet and utilities
- Fully furnished rooms
- Washer and dryer in every unit
- Study lounges and collaboration spaces
- Recreation areas with billiards, ping pong, and TVs

Phase I: Private Comfort & Modern Convenience
Operated by Capstone Management Partners, Phase I offers suite-style living with 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom options. Each student enjoys a private bedroom equipped with a full-size bed, desk, and dresser. Suites include a shared living area with a widescreen TV, a kitchenette, and in-unit washer and dryer.
Phase II: Traditional Dorm Living with a Community Feel
Owned and operated by Florida Polytechnic University, Phase II delivers a more traditional college dorm experience with both single and double occupancy options. With twice the common space of Phase I, this hall encourages students to connect through shared lounges, kitchens, study rooms, and recreational spaces featuring pool and ping pong tables.
Phase III: Next-Generation Student Living
Florida Poly’s newest residence hall, Phase III, spans 96,000 square feet across five stories and houses 420 students in modern, suite-style units with shared common areas. Each floor includes seven dedicated study rooms and multiple lounges to support both academic success and social engagement.

Oak Grove
A peaceful escape in the heart of campus, Oak Grove is a shady, tree-lined spot perfect for studying, relaxing in a hammock, or recharging with friends.
Tucked between the Wellness Center and the Student Development Center, Oak Grove is one of campus’s most beloved hangout spots.
A Campus Built for Safety & Support
Campus Control Center
The Campus Control Center houses the University Police, Facilities and Safety Services, and Technology Services. It operates 24/7 to keep our community secure, our spaces pristine, and our tech running smoothly.

Photography & Videography on Campus
Florida Poly’s campus is known for its striking architecture and scenic beauty, making it a popular destination for photography and videography enthusiasts.
Non-Commercial Photography & Videography
Visitors are welcome to capture photos and videos for personal, non-commercial use in publicly accessible outdoor areas of campus. However, access to restricted areas such as classrooms, labs, offices, and other academic or research spaces is not permitted. All activity must respect university operations and avoid any disruption or damage to property.
Commercial Filming Policy
To protect the integrity and distinct brand of Florida Poly, commercial photography or videography by external parties is not allowed on campus. This ensures the exclusive representation of the University’s image and preserves the unique identity of our facilities and environment.
