Where Students Can Park:

To avoid a citation, do not park in spaces marked for Visitors, Faculty/Staff, Reserved, or Handicapped (unless authorized).

Student Permits

Florida Poly’s parking system features a fully online experience for purchasing permits and managing citations. No physical hang tags or decals are needed—your license plate is your permit.

Log in to the Parking Portal using your Florida Poly credentials to register your vehicle and purchase a permit.

Need to update your vehicle info?
If you get a new car or license plate, be sure to update your vehicle details through the Parking Portal to stay compliant with campus parking regulations.

Shuttle Services

Florida Poly offers convenient on-campus shuttle service during the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session.

For accommodations, email auxserv@floridapoly.edu by 12:00 p.m. for weekday routes and Friday at 12:00 p.m. for weekend routes.

The Campus Cruiser offers stops every 15 minutes to help students and guests get around campus. The shuttle operates Monday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Transportation to and from the Walmart Supercenter (2120 US-92 W, Auburndale) providing accessibility to Walmart Pharmacy and Vision Center, MidFlorida Credit Union, Queen Nails, Amscot, The Pantry Modern Diner, Subway, Wendy’s, Firehouse Subs and GameStop.

Welcome to Florida Poly! Visitors may park in designated spaces in Lots 5 and 8. Look for visitor parking signs with QR codes that provide easy access to vehicle registration instructions through the Parking Portal.

Visitor Permits

A Visitor Parking Permit is required and only costs $5.00 per day. Permits must be purchased through the online Parking Portal, which uses license plate recognition—so there’s no need to display a physical permit.

To register & purchase a permit:

  • Visit the Parking Portal and create an account

  • Add your license plate

  • Purchase your permit on the same day you plan to visit
    (Permits are only valid on the day of purchase. Do not register in advance.)

  • Tip: Save your login information if you plan to visit campus regularly.

Special Event Guests

We’re thrilled you’ll be attending an event at Florida Poly—welcome to campus! Please note that during special events, parking and traffic procedures may be adjusted to accommodate increased activity.

To ensure a smooth experience, follow all posted signage and any directions provided by event staff or campus security.

Special Event Permits

All guests attending a special event must register for a Visitor Parking Permit, which only costs $5 per day. You’ll receive information about how to register either:

  • In advance from your event organizer, or
  • On-site via QR codes located on visitor parking signs.


Florida Poly uses license plate recognition, so there’s no need to display a physical permit.

Vendors & Contractors

Florida Poly welcomes vendors and contractors to campus and provides flexible parking options to support your work. Parking is permitted in Lots 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10 with a purchased permit through the online Parking Portal.

Vendor & Contractor Permits

All vendors and contractors—whether using personal or company vehicles—must register through the Parking Portal and purchase a digital parking permit. Florida Poly uses license plate recognition, so no physical permit is required.

  • Parking is permitted in Lots 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.
  • Parking regulations are enforced year-round, including when classes are not in session.
  • A valid Vendor or Contractor Parking Permit is required 24/7 for vehicles parked outside designated lots (e.g., on service roads, sidewalks, or turf).
  • Vendor delivery vehicles may use designated loading docks for up to 2 hours during active service.
  • Access to land-locked buildings is allowed via designated sidewalks and pull-off areas. Parking directly on sidewalks, roadways, or turf is not permitted.

Employees

Florida Poly offers convenient and affordable parking options for all employees. With several permit types based on employment status and salary, you can choose the option that best fits your needs. Employees purchase a parking permit through the Parking Portal and may park in designated employee or general spaces located in Lots 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10. Employee parking is not allowed in lot 3. Only students can park in this lot.

Employee Permits

Employee parking permits must be purchased through the online Parking Portal. You can choose from daily, semester, or annual options. Florida Poly uses license plate recognition, so there’s no need to display a physical permit—your license plate is your permit.

To purchase or manage a permit:

  • Log in to the Parking Portal using your Florida Poly credentials
  • Register your vehicle and select your permit type

Citations & Enforcement

To ensure fair and consistent campus parking, Florida Poly enforces parking regulations and issues citations for violations. Please review the policies below to avoid penalties and understand your rights and responsibilities.

Payment & Appeal Deadline

  • All citations must be paid or appealed through the Parking Portal within 10 business days of issuance.
  • Failure to pay or formally appeal within this timeframe forfeits your right to contest the citation.
  • A $10 late fee will be added if no action is taken within 10 business days.

Online: Pay securely via credit card, debit card, or electronic check through the Parking Portal.

In Person: Visit the Auxiliary Enterprises Service Center during business hours.

Enforcement

  • Vehicles with five or more citations in a semester may be booted. A $50 removal fee applies. When giving 3rd citation we will give boot warning and then boot at 4th citation.
  • Tampering with or removing a boot may result in a $250 fine plus replacement cost.
  • Continued violations or unpaid citations may result in vehicle towing. Impoundment costs vary based on method and contractor rates.
  • Unpaid citations more than 10 business days past due will result in a block on the student’s CAMS account, regardless of the amount.
  • Transcripts may be withheld until the balance is paid in full.

Unpaid fines may be deducted through payroll or offset against other payments owed by the university.

Outstanding fines may be referred to a collection agency and are subject to additional fees.

Fines are assigned to one or more of the following:

  • The registered vehicle owner
  • The purchaser of the university parking permit
  • A student or employee affiliated with the vehicle’s owner
  • License plate must be clearly visible to parking enforcement officers
  • A vehicle backed into a parking space without a front license plate is not considered visible
  • Up to four vehicles can be registered for each parking permit; however, only one vehicle can be parked on campus at a time
  • Students, faculty, and staff who receive a new license plate number or new car must update their information in the university’s Parking Portal

Accesible Parking

Florida Poly offers designated accessible parking spaces for those with state-authorized disabled placards or plates. Handicap permit owners are not required to purchase a permit or create an account in the parking portal. Accessible parking information is available on our interactive campus map.
