Kelly Beall is the Workday Platform Administrator in the Division of Information Technology Services at Florida Polytechnic University. She leads the administration and optimization of the University’s Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, ensuring seamless system performance and innovative solutions to meet institutional needs.
Beall joined Florida Poly in 2020 and has held various roles that reflect her versatility and commitment to the University’s success. Starting as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Administration and Finance, she later served as Coordinator in University Relations, advancing the institution’s brand through strategic marketing initiatives. She transitioned to Information Technology Services as a Business Systems Analyst before being promoted to her current role, where she continues to drive system enhancements and support university operations.
Before joining Florida Poly, Beall served as a Public Information and Social Media Specialist at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. She also worked as a Manufacturer’s Representative for a diverse portfolio of clients in the aviation, construction, engineering, fabrication, and machining industries. Additionally, she held a position as a Marketing and Operations Associate for a global software company providing investment-management solutions to private equity and venture capital firms worldwide.

Michelle Powell serves as the pioneering Risk Manager at Florida Polytechnic University, the state’s sole 100% STEM-dedicated institution. Having been with the university for nearly 11 years, Michelle transitioned from a leadership role in Admissions in October 2023 to establish and evolve the risk management function from the ground up. In this solo capacity, Michelle builds robust frameworks for our dynamic, young university, overseeing our insurance portfolio, consulting on third-party and event risks, and developing critical campus-wide training programs. Michelle has obtained the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) Enterprise Risk Management certificate and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations. Her distinct background in mathematics and engineering, combined with extensive higher education leadership, brings an analytical and strategic approach enhancing the institution’s resilience.
