Florida Poly Scholarships

At Florida Poly, higher education isn’t just innovative—it’s affordable too. We offer generous need- and merit-based scholarships and participate in statewide financial aid programs like Florida Bright Futures. President’s Scholars

The President’s Scholars program is for high-achieving students with a passion for real-world problem solving. Incoming freshmen with an SAT score of above 1420 and/or an ACT score of 32 or higher are eligible to participate. Students will be identified and nominated for the program after they have applied to the University. The President’s Scholar program application must be completed and returned before November 15. Candidates will then submit a proposal on a technological innovation of their choice and present it before a faculty panel.

Application Details

Provost Scholars

The Florida Poly Provost Scholars program seeks gifted and uniquely talented high school students who have demonstrated excellence within their journey to date. We invite such students to join our community of creators, innovators, risk-takers, and future industry and academic pioneers. Provost Scholars—who typically have an SAT score above 1320 and/or an ACT score of 30 or higher—will receive scholarships of $12,000 over four years. The recommended deadline to apply is December 15. Students who miss the deadline will need to submit an additional online application and their selection will be subject to availability.

Florida Poly Merit Scholars

The Florida Poly Merit Scholars program seeks to identify students who will positively contribute to our campus culture and environment. There is not a separate application or deadline for these scholarships. All undergraduate applicants are considered on the basis of their full admission application and resources available. Applicants are selected for scholarships through a comprehensive review of their application, including essay, letter(s) of recommendation, community service, rigor of transcript, selected major/concentration, leadership activities and, of course, academic indicators. These scholarships range from $1,000 to $1,500.

Institutional Aid

Each year, Florida Poly devotes a portion of their financial resources to need-based scholarships. The institutional aid is designed to help lower the financial burden of tuition and academic expenses. All incoming undergraduate applicants are eligible to apply to the program regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. Our scholarship program is highly competitive, we encourage students to apply early to qualify for institutional aid.

Johnson Scholarship

The Johnson Scholarship can offer significant financial assistance for qualified individuals who can show documentation of the nature and/or extent of a disability. The disability must be in one or more of the following classifications: Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Blind or Low Vision; Deaf/Hard of Hearing; Orthopedic Disability; Psychological, Emotional, or Behavioral Disability; Speech/Language Disability; Specific Learning Disability; Traumatic Brain Injury; and/or other health disabilities.
