Suresh Gnawali joined Florida Poly's Department of Physics as a visiting assistant
professor of physics in 2024. Before this, he was a graduate research and teaching
assistant at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Gnawali has a strong passion for academia and has been actively involved in teaching
since high school. He has worked extensively on multidisciplinary research projects,
including theoretical and computational studies on 2D materials and finite nanostructures
to investigate optical nonlinearities. Prior to 2019, his research was focused on
theoretical, experimental and computational work on medical imaging physics and biophysics.
