Eric Daniel

University Police Officer

Eric Daniel joined the Florida Polytechnic University Police Department as a police officer in early 2023. Prior to this, he taught television productions at a middle school for a year. Before becoming a teacher, Daniel was a law enforcement officer for 20 years and spent time with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Plant City Police Department, and the Bartow Police Department. He has worked on a variety of assignments, including jail, road patrol, narcotics, homicide, and organized crime. His education and experience earned him the rank of sergeant at the Sheriff’s Office where Daniel spent four years as an operator on the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team. Daniel has been attached to multiple task forces including Joint Terrorism Task Force, Safe Streets Task Force, and Immigrations and Customs Task Force.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family. Together, they engage in activities like attending church, exercising at the gym, boating, and vacationing in new and exciting places.

He also has been a freelance actor since 2019 and has appeared in several productions, including a movie with actor Dean Cain.
