Sean Kenney has served Florida Poly as the regional recruiter responsible for recruiting and enrolling undergraduate students from outside of the state of Florida since 2021. His admissions and enrollment career spans over 27 years in higher education and independent schools. His career began at his at his alma mater, the University of Scranton, where he spent six years in the admissions office. He then spent a decade at the University of San Francisco.
After almost two decades in higher education, he was appointed to and spent three years as executive director of admissions and financial aid at San Domenico School, California's first independent school. Kenney then moved back east where he would spend seven years as director of admissions at Malvern Preparatory School in Pennsylvania.
His responsibilities have varied and increased over 27 years, allowing him to develop the managerial and leadership skills needed to be an effective enrollment professional. Over his career, Kenney also has enjoyed coaching collegiate and high school basketball, as well as collegiate baseball.
Kenney’s two favorite things about Florida Poly are getting the opportunity to see students work together in teams, design, and learning by doing; and working collaboratively with talented and supportive colleagues. He resides just outside of Philadelphia and enjoys spending time with his family. Rounds of golf are not as frequent as he would like.
