Some of the unit/room amenities include:
Both wired and wireless network connections are provided in residential units and rooms as part of the monthly/semesterly rate. In the Phase 1 residence hall, each unit has its own router and wireless network. Instructions on how to set up your unit’s internet can be found on a refrigerator magnet in your unit. In Residence Hall 2, each floor has two open wireless networks. Residents can freely connect to any network while in Residence Hall 2. Additionally, wireless is available in both residence hall common areas and lounges, as well as across campus. Residents are encouraged to protect all electrical appliances and computer equipment through a quality power surge protection system.
Personal routers are not allowed. If ever have issues with your internet service, submit a work order through your Active Building account.
Digital cable is included in your rent. In order to access your cable channels, you may need to perform a channel search on your television. Residents are required to provide their own cables and equipment.
Active Building is a system platform used by residents to submit work orders, pay their rent, see emails and updates from Student Living or Residential Life, read announcements, and communicate with each other in a community forum. Once residents are assigned a unit/room, they will receive a notification from Student Living regarding how to sign up for an Active Building account.
Work orders and maintenance requests can be placed online through a resident's Active Building account or by calling the Student Living office at 863-874-8779.
In case of a maintenance emergency, please inform your resident assistant (RA) immediately.
During the fall 2020 semester, Student Living will reach out regarding residents'
interest in renewing for the 2021-22 academic year. If residents are interested in
renewing their lease, either for their same unit/room or for a different unit/room,
they will need to communicate this with Student Living via their renewal process.
Once a resident states their interest in renewing their lease, Student Living will
send them a renewal lease to review and sign electronically. All questions or concerns
regarding renewal leasing should be directed to Student Living.
