While Florida Poly does not have a professional photographer on staff, faculty and staff do have the opportunity to have their portrait taken by a University Relations team member. Photo sessions are scheduled at the start of the fall and spring semester each year at the main campus, in the Innovation, Science, and Technology Building. Dates are published in the Weekly Phoenix several weeks in advance and employees are asked to register for an appointment. Employees may have a new portrait taken once every two years. Photos are added to the Multimedia Library and to faculty/staff bios published on the website.

The Weekly Phoenix is the primary way the university communicates with faculty and staff, and students. All employees automatically receive the Weekly Phoenix–Faculty/Staff Edition while all students receive the Weekly Phoenix–Student Edition. Faculty and staff have the option to opt-in to receive the student edition. The goal of the Weekly Phoenix is to create a single source of “need to know” information. Categories include dates and deadlines, announcements, and events and activities.
