Colby Manrodt is a student leader pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Florida Polytechnic University. The senior is Florida Poly’s student body president for the 2025-2026 academic year and the University’s Student Trustee, representing the student body at the highest level of university governance.
Before his presidency, Manrodt held the roles of chief of staff and director of student media within SGA, contributing to strategic planning, outreach initiatives, and transparency efforts on campus.
Beyond student government, he has been involved in leadership across multiple student organizations. He served in Residential Life as a resident assistant and later as a community director. He is also the founder and president of the RunNerds Club on campus. In these roles, Manrodt has focused on student well-being and building strong, inclusive communities at Florida Poly.
Manrodt is also a NASA L’SPACE alumnus and mentor, collaborating with students nationwide to design mission concepts for space exploration.
The student from Sarasota, Florida, aims to combine mechanical engineering and public service to develop technologies and lead initiatives that solve real-world problems and create lasting impact.
