Donald H. Wilson grew up in Bartow, Florida and is the fifth generation of his family to live in Polk County, Florida. Wilson graduated from Stetson University with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1973, and he graduated in 1976 cum laude from the University of Florida College of Law. He practiced for three years in Miami before returning to Bartow in 1980 to join the law firm of Boswell & Dunlap, LLP, which was co-founded in 1900 by his grandfather.
Wilson represents public, business and individual clients in commercial and transactional matters. He serves as general counsel for Polk State College and for many years has represented the Polk County School Board in various cases. He has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Tenth Circuit. He currently serves on the Florida Polytechnic University Foundation Board of Directors. He was previously a member of the Board of Directors of both Palm Beach National Bank and Trust Company and Citrus and Chemical Bank.
