Dr. Bernadette Mullins joined Florida Polytechnic University in 2023 as a faculty
member in the Department of Applied Mathematics. Prior to joining the University,
she served on the faculty of Birmingham-Southern College from 2000-2023, holding positions
including department chair and area chair, and at Youngstown State University during
1995-2000. She has published in commutative ring theory and the scholarship of teaching
and learning, has served as co-investigator of a Math Science Partnership funded by
the National Science Foundation, and is a textbook co-author. She is passionate about
teaching mathematics using active learning in a student-centered classroom.
