Dipali Swain joined Florida Polytechnic University in August of 2024 as an assistant
professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics. Prior to this, she was a graduate
teaching associate at the University of South Florida for five years. This was an
instructor-equivalent position for Ph.D. students.
When not in the classroom, Swain enjoys spending time practicing Western-style calligraphy,
painting, and participating in Postcrossing, a project allowing people to send real
postcards and receive real postcards back from random people around the world.
Swain is married to Sudheendra, a lead software developer, and the couple has been
in Florida for over five years. Her yellow Labrador retriever, Max, enjoys his time
in Swain’s home country of India.
