Sathish Akula joined Florida Poly in the fall of 2024 as an assistant professor of
computer science. His recent research has focused on the development of innovative
augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications, machine learning algorithms,
and climate models. His research has involved creating immersive simulations for education,
as well as data-driven approaches to environmental science. Satish plans to continue
addressing challenges in these fields, particularly in the integration of AR/VR technologies
with machine learning and environmental modeling.
