Prior to joining Florida Poly in the spring of 2022, Thomas Monaco was a rural opportunity representative for the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, where he served 21 counties across southern and central Colorado, assisting them with accessing state economic development initiatives and programming. He also served as the special project manager for the Colorado Small Business Development Center network and is the former director of the San Luis Valley SBDC. Monaco has also been an assistant professor at the University of Florida, the University of New Mexico, and Ohio Northern University, specializing in overseeing facility and production management.
