7 Things You Will Learn at the Next #STEMTalks

Oct 01, 2015

Join Florida Polytechnic University professors and industry experts as they discuss the future of big data analytics during the next installment of #STEMTalks, a Google+ Hangout series. Big data analytics is used to discover trends, patterns and correlations using large volumes of data. Analysis of the data provides decision-makers with business intelligence that was not previously available.

Learn how big data is transforming our world, and how it impacts our everyday life without us knowing it. Did you know that researchers are currently data mining all of your Facebook and Twitter posts as you read this? Did you know that data is being used by brands for loyalty analysis? Did you know that purchases are being tracked so brands can develop and offer products that fit consumer buying patterns?

This live virtual event is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2015, at 7pm. This will be the third Hangout in a four-part series illustrating the impact of STEM subjects on our world.
