While construction workers are busy working to complete the Innovation, Science and Technology Building, we are busy working to fill it with top faculty and students.
We will follow a non-tenure model and expect to announce the first faculty hire next month. The goal is to have essential faculty members in place by Fall 2013 so they can help develop the curriculum for the entering class.
To recruit students, we will collaborate with the Florida State College System and research partnerships with STEM charter and magnet schools as well as international schools in South America and the Far East.
The university has already begun the process that leads to accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and anticipates achieving accreditation by the end of 2016.
