Mar 10, 2015

Let’s talk about big data, supercomputers and advanced technology programs at Florida Polytechnic University.

You can join the discussion on Wednesday, March 18, without leaving home or your favorite (wired) coffee shop. That’s because Florida Polytechnic University is hosting the University’s second Google+ Hangout this year, #TECHTalks, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The free virtual event is part of a three-part Google+ Hangout series on high technology hosted by Florida Poly. The first Google+ Hangout, held in February, was called #BOTTalks and looked at the future of robotics. The discussion allows guests to submit questions about technology trends or pose them during the hangout. It’s also a convenient way to learn about degree programs at Florida Poly.

For #TECHTalks, we will a welcome panel with diverse viewpoints to discuss a range of topics, including the advancement of big data, technology trends, supercomputers and advanced technology programs at Florida Poly.

Panelists for Florida Poly’s online #TECHTalks will include:

• Florida Poly Professor Dr. Athanasios Gentimis
• Florida Poly student Jessie Pullaro

As part of this interactive event, guests will have the opportunity to directly ask panelists questions before or during the event, using the Twitter hashtag #TECHTalks, or on the Google+ Event page.

Similar to #BOTTalks, Florida Poly’s first Google+ Hangout, #TECHTalks is designed to be an interactive event for students and panelists, as they discuss exciting trends ,impacting the technology industry. For students who missed #BOTTalks, they can still view the Google+ Hangout here.
