Florida Polytechnic University Student Work Showcased at Third Annual Biology Expo
WHAT:
Florida Polytechnic University students will showcase their work at the third annual Biology Integrated Outlook (BIO) Expo from Wednesday, November 30 to Friday, December 2, 2016 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
 
The BIO Expo allows students, in Computer Science, Innovation and Technology, and Nanotechnology, to apply biological applications and implications to their program.
 
Student project presentations will range from virtual reality and cybersecurity programs to nanorobot designs. In addition, participating students will also have a chance to compete for several awards including the Kennedy Space Center’s Choice Award, the Universities Space Research Association’s Choice Award, the President’s Choice Award and many more.
 
The event is sponsored by the NASA-Florida Space Grant Consortium.
 
WHO:
Hosted by Florida Poly Assistant Professor of Biology, Dr. Melba Horton, and Adjunct Professor, Dr. Rafael Loureiro
Participating partner agencies are the Florida Poly Students, Faculty, and Staff.
 
WHEN:
Wednesday, November 30 – Friday, December 2, 2016, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Posters will be displayed for three days and student presentation will take place during the following class periods:
Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Thursday: 8 a.m. ­– 10:15 a.m.
Friday: 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
