Presidential Ambassador Program welcomes new members

Florida Polytechnic University announced its 2019-20 Class of Presidential Ambassadors, welcoming 10 new members to the distinguished student program. The annual induction ceremony was held Tuesday, April 23, at the Aula Magna in the Innovation, Science, and Technology (IST) Building.

The new class of Presidential Ambassadors is comprised of 19 students who were appointed by the University president to serve as official and formal hosts at designated events. Participants volunteer and are selected each year for their academic standing and leadership abilities, as well as citizen and service activities.

“Being part of this program is a remarkable opportunity,” said Dr. Randy K. Avent, president of Florida Poly. “Leadership and communication are vital in today’s world, and this will help you enhance those skills looking into the future.”

The mission of the Presidential Ambassadors is to represent the President and Florida Poly at designated events to promote the successes and vision of the University. The program offers its members a chance to network with prominent University constituents and sharpen their public relations, event planning, and professional etiquette skills while engaging in service to the Florida Poly community.
