Florida Polytechnic University will host the first of three virtual events via Google+ Hangouts on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. This series is set to discuss advancements in technology and engineering, specifically robotics and machine intelligence.
Our first event, #BOTTalks, features a panel of industry leaders and experts from Florida Poly. #BOTTalks will focus on the future of robotics and machine intelligence. Students will be able to tweet their questions or ask questions directly to the panel online via the hashtag #BOTTalks. The Google+ Hangout will feature two experts in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM): Dr. Kristy Hollingshead, a research scientist with the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition, and Dr. Ryan Integlia, a Florida Poly professor in the College of Engineering and the College of Innovation & Technology. The two STEM experts will be on hand to answer your questions about groundbreaking technology, related programs at Florida Poly, and how students can prepare for careers in robotics and machine intelligence.
Students, send us your questions on robotics and machine intelligence! Want to give your view on the movie, “Chappie,” or discuss the possibility of robots with emotions? Do you have questions about how Florida Poly prepares students for technology careers? Our experts want to hear your ideas and share some answers.
RSVP now to hangout with the future. Start tweeting your questions with the hashtag #BOTTalks.
Looking forward to hanging out soon!
