In August 2018 Florida Poly implemented a new process for sharing communications that are currently sent to the campus community via the “Florida Poly All” and/or “All Students” email lists.
This new process included the development of two weekly eblasts (one for faculty/staff and one for students.) Each is distributed via email Wednesday mornings during the academic year. The goal of the Weekly Phoenix is to create a single source of “need to know” information that will be distributed on a regular basis. Categories include dates and deadlines, announcements, and events and activities.
Employees: All Florida Poly employees automatically receive the Weekly Phoenix–Faculty/Staff Edition.
Students: All students receive the Weekly Phoenix–Student Edition every Wednesday (during the academic year). Employees and parents can also sign-up to receive the student edition of the Weekly Phoenix and, it’s also available online 24/7 on the Weekly Phoenix website and in the Florida Poly Mobile app.
Information included in the Weekly Phoenix will be submitted by the designated submitter(s) in each senior management area of the university. These individuals are responsible for the accurate and timely submittal, and senior management approval, of each item in the Weekly Phoenix.
The Weekly Phoenix is sent via email to the appropriate group of recipients (faculty/staff or students) each Wednesday. The page is published at www.floridapoly.edu/weeklyphoenix.
