Florida Poly is proud to be a strong member of this long tradition. We welcome students from countries around the world, encouraging their study of critical STEM disciplines at our Lakeland, Florida, campus. Talented Florida Poly students also have been afforded opportunities to study in Canada as Killam Fellows.
With visiting distinguished professors operating on our campus as Fulbright chairs and our own faculty participating as Fulbright specialists in other countries, we have been able to achieve incredible educational collaborations.
The Fulbright program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide and awards approximately 8,000 grants annually. Roughly 1,900 U.S. students, 4,000 foreign students, 1,200 U.S. scholars, and 900 visiting scholars receive awards, in addition to several hundred teachers and professionals. More than 380,000 “Fulbrighters” from more than 160 countries have participated in the program since its inception in 1946.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs.
