In January 2019, after 18 months of negotiations, Florida Polytechnic University and the United Faculty of Florida (UFF) Florida Poly chapter ratified the first collective bargaining agreement between the parties. Since then, the University and the Faculty Union have met regularly to bargain over various amendments and necessary changes to the agreement.
The agreement governs terms and conditions of employment by formalizing rights, responsibilities, and overall management of our faculty. Some of the most important articles define procedures for appointments and promotions, assignments of responsibility, and performance evaluations. You can find the most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement at this link.
Since the existing collective bargaining agreement is set to expire on August 31, 2021, the bargaining teams for the University and faculty have already started negotiations for a successor agreement. If you’d like to stay up to date on the current progress of those negotiations, you can access the minutes from recent bargaining sessions here and the status of CBA proposals here.
