Florida Poly Alerts

Florida Poly Alerts is the university’s emergency notification system.

 

Florida Poly Alerts iconAn alert is issued when a situation arises in which the university determines that there is an ongoing threat, whether manmade or weather-related, that presents an immediate threat to the health and safety of people on campus.

 

Signing up for alerts

Students and employees with a valid Florida Poly email address are eligible to receive alerts at different phone numbers and email addresses. Although those without a floridapoly.edu email address cannot sign up for alerts, those who do have an account can add an email address or phone number for emergency contacts.

Registered individuals will automatically receive an email each time a Florida Poly Alert is sent out. The alerts are also shared via

  • Voice messages
  • Text messages
  • Voice messages to all university telephones, including those in classrooms and offices

 

For Staff/Faculty:

  1. Login to Workday.
  2. View your Profile and click the “Contacts” section.
  3. Go to the Emergency Alerts tab and click “Edit Home Contact Info.”
  4. Scroll down to “Additional Phone” and edit/add an emergency alert phone number. Verify and submit it.

For Unregistered Students:

  1. Login to CAMS.
  2. Go to the top left and find the Menu under Full Name and Student ID.
  3. Click “Administrative Services” dropdown and select “Registration.”
  4. Complete the required forms.

  1. Login to CAMS.
  2. Go to the top left and find the Menu under Full Name and Student ID.
  3. Click “Administrative Services” dropdown and select “Campus Alerts & Emergency Contacts.”
  4. Update and verify any changes.
