The Florida Polytechnic University Men's Soccer Team was founded in 2024 to promote
physical activity and facilitate student networking. The team is made up of students
from various competitive backgrounds, including those with experience in high school
soccer and those with none at all. All students are welcome to join.
As of now, the team has not participated in any official league competitions. Each
semester, we engage in friendly matches against different universities across the
state for fun. Additionally, the team is responsible for hosting several events on
campus, such as the Phoenix Cup!
At Florida Poly Men's Soccer, we challenge each other to improve, celebrate our victories both on and off the field, and support one another at every step of our journey—whether in training, competition, or academics. Our program is built on dedication, resilience, and camaraderie, ensuring that every player, regardless of skill level, has the opportunity to grow and contribute. Our goal is to create an elite, resilient group of students who can face future challenges, both in their personal lives and careers.
As a team, we foster a close-knit and positive community. We inspire each other to develop new skills, both technical and social, for personal growth. We welcome members from all different backgrounds and strongly discourage any harm or negative comments, both on and off the pitch. We assure you that you will find a safe and welcoming team!
Join Florida Poly Men's Soccer and take your game to the next level! Compete against top universities while forming lifelong friendships with fellow students who share your passion for the sport. Soccer is not just a game; it’s an excellent way to stay active, relieve stress, and sharpen your mind and body. Our team cultivates a dynamic environment where you can thrive in both athletics and academics, ensuring you maximize your college experience while pushing yourself to excel on and off the field.
Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:30 PM at the recreational field next to the SDC building.
Please bring cleats. Shin guards are not needed. We do not tolerate slide tackles during practice.
We have hosted a Phoenix Cup soccer 8v8 tournament. We plan on hosting one every semester. Moreover, we will plan more events accordingly, like a small FIFA tournament.
We want to compete nationally with the University of Florida, the University of South Florida, and other prestigious universities by the academic year 2025-2026.
