SGA Committees

Florida Poly's Student Government Association currently has four legislative committees.

Advocacy and Communications Committee

The Advocacy and Communications Committee (ACC) deals with SGA and Legislative Branch communication. A major role of the ACC is to help keep students and other SGA members informed. The ACC is committed to being the avenue for students to voice their opinions and ensure they do not fall on deaf ears.

Audit and Budget Committee

The Audit and Budget Committee (ABC) deals with Student Government’s funding. A major role of the ABC is to help Registered Student Organizations (RSO) receive funding by submitting a budget proposal and going through revisions which will then be passed on to Senate to see if there are any more revisions needed. The ABC is committed to helping students and RSOs receive funding through certain line items in the SGA Budget.

Information and Communication Committee

The Information and Communications Committee (ICC) deals with SGA and Legislative Branch communication. A major role of the ICC is to help keep students and other SGA members informed. The ICC is committed to keeping SGA and students informed throughout the year.

Legislative Executive Committee

The Legislative Executive Committee (LEC) is comprised of the Senate
President, Pro-Tempor, and the chairs of each Senate committee. They serve as
the overseers and ensure integrity in the Senate. They oversee each Standing
and Ad-Hoc Committees as well as approve Senate Monthly Accountability
Reports. Additionally, the LEC is responsible for any investigations on senators
when deemed necessary and reviews all legislation before it comes before the
Senate.

Policy and Ethics Committee

The Policy and Ethics Committee (PEC) is responsible for producing, amending, and reviewing Procedural and Statutory Bills to ensure efficiency, clarity, and legality. The Committee is to additionally provide checks and balances over any other SGA departments and employees.
