Academic Excellence
The Office of the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs supports the mission of the University
by providing resources, information, and guidance regarding strategic and academic
planning, accreditation compliance, achievement metrics and learning outcomes, as
well as directing many of the services that advance the quality of the University’s
STEM-focused educational mission both internally and to the broader community and
throughout Florida.
The office oversees Institutional Research and Effectiveness; SACSCOC and professional
accreditation services; student ombudsman services; the IDEA Center (Instructional Development and Educational Achievement); curriculum development and support, including new program development and program reviews; academic
policy; serves on state committees; supports faculty review, evaluation, and other contractual processes; and advances the vision of the provost, president, and Florida Polytechnic University.
