Environmental Health and Safety

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety is dedicated to providing the support, resources, and continuous assessment and improvement to support and reflect the University’s mission and strategic plan. This office strives to develop a nationally recognized environmental, health, and safety program.

Services

Indoor Air Quality: Employees experiencing adverse health effects during the workday which may be related to indoor air quality may request an inspection.

Environmental Compliance: Environmental Health and Safety ensures university compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Ergonomic Services: Ergonomics helps protect your health while boosting productivity. Evaluating musculoskeletal risks (such as repetition, force, posture) provides solutions to reduce risks in your job.

Training: The office provides a number of training opportunities throughout the year.

Waste Removal: All chemical waste must be disposed of through according to the procedures found in the Chemical Hygiene Plan (page 20).
