Self-defense Training

Self-defense classes can help students build self-confidence and improve their physical condition. 
The Univerity Police Department offers a self-defense program to female students and employees.
 
S.A.F.E. (Self-defense Awareness and Familiarization Exchange) is a National Self-Defense Institute is a free two-hour course is a crime victim prevention program that provides women with information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence and introduces them to the physical aspects of self-defense.
 
The course consists of a classroom presentation and an introduction to physical self-defense and is suitable for women of all ages and abilities.
 

Our instructors are Florida Poly police officers who have been trained by the National Self-Defense Institute.

There is no cost for the class. Only female students and employees are allowed to participate. Comfortable workout clothing is recommended.
