Programs and Training

The department offers a variety of safety training and programs free of charge for all students and employees. For dates, time, and locations contact the department.

Programs and Training Opportunities

To help ensure Florida Poly community member are prepared for all types of emergencies, the University Police Department offers several types of training.

This program teaches students and employees how to make anonymous reports by calling or using the Anonymous Witness Form. This program is intended to assist the University Police Department, and is not intended for crimes in progress or for emergencies. In those instances, please call 911 for an emergency or 863-874-8472.

Conversations with Cops brings police officers and our University community together to discuss issues and learn more about each other in a casual atmosphere.

This is a weekly mobile display setup to provide informational material and pamphlets or question and answer sessions for all students and employees.

The department offers emergency training for active shooters and crime prevention.

New Student Orientation is held before the start of the spring and fall semester. International Student Orientation is mandatory for all international students.

The University Police Department offers a women’s self-defense program called S.A.F.E. (Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange).
