As the University continues to grow, sometimes there is a need to develop a unique mark for a freestanding institute. Below are some examples of approved institutes at Florida Poly.

Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute

The Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute (FIPR Institute) is a legislatively created university research institute within Florida Polytechnic University. Since its inception (as the Florida Institute of Phosphate Research) in 1978, the FIPR Institute has grown and developed into a world-class research entity specializing in phosphate-related issues and industrial applied science and engineering.

Advanced Mobility Institute

The Advanced Mobility Institute aims to be the premier university-affiliated applied research center for the development and testing of autonomous vehicle technology.

The goal is to:

Bring together subject matter experts from academia, industry, and government to conduct basic and applied research to advance autonomous systems and technologies
Build an unequaled framework for research, professional education, and technology transfer and commercialization
Provide the workforce with well-trained engineers and scientists who have hands-on experience and a solid theoretical understanding of autonomous systems
