Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute

The Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute (FIPR Institute) is a legislatively created university research institute within Florida Polytechnic University. Since its inception (as the Florida Institute of Phosphate Research) in 1978, the FIPR Institute has grown and developed into a world-class research entity specializing in phosphate-related issues and industrial applied science and engineering.

Advanced Mobility Institute

The Advanced Mobility Institute aims to be the premier university-affiliated applied research center for the development and testing of autonomous vehicle technology.

The goal is to:

  • Bring together subject matter experts from academia, industry, and government to conduct basic and applied research to advance autonomous systems and technologies
  • Build an unequaled framework for research, professional education, and technology transfer and commercialization
  • Provide the workforce with well-trained engineers and scientists who have hands-on experience and a solid theoretical understanding of autonomous systems
