Strategic Communications supports the University community in a variety of ways from graphic design support to writing news stories to promote the amazing things happening at Florida Poly. Faculty and staff who would like assistance should submit a project request by completing the online form.
Once received, our team will reach out to you to discuss your project goals and needs and will work with you every step of the way to ensure a successful completion.
Please plan for at least two weeks for completion of project requests. More comprehensive projects require a longer timeline. Strategic Communications staff will work with you to develop an appropriate timeline for your project.
Department admins have access to order printed letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and note cards through the online store. These items are printed on demand and generally take about two weeks from the time you place the order.
The University maintains an Academic Calendar, official University Calendar, and an internal scheduling calendar. Details about those calendars are available online. To submit information to be included in the calendar, work with the designated content editor for your department.
To help ensure consistency in the email signatures of all Florida Poly faculty and staff, employees are required to use the approved format.
Each faculty and staff member has a profile published on the website with their portrait/headshot and professional bio. bios are published as part of each employee's profile on the website. To have your professional bio added to your profile, please fill out the template (faculty | staff), have your supervisor approve it, and submit it to Strategic Communications via a project request.
While Florida Poly does not have a professional photographer on staff, faculty and staff do have the opportunity to have their professional headshot taken in an approved university location.
Photo sessions are scheduled at the start of the fall and spring semester each year at the main campus, in the Innovation, Science, and Technology Building.
Dates are published in the Weekly Phoenix several weeks in advance and employees are asked to register for an appointment.
Employees may have a new portrait taken once every two years. Photos are added to the Multimedia Library and to faculty/staff profiles are published on the website.
Strategic Communications provides a variety of graphic design support to Departments throughout the University including the creation of invitations, flyers, posters, brochures, etc.
If you need are in need of graphic design services, please submit a project request with all the necessary information for the event or activity (i.e. who, what, when, where, and why).

The Strategic Communications team works with a group of talented freelance photographers and videographers to coordinate photo/video for university events and programs. If you are in need of these services, please submit a project request stating the date(s), times and any specific details needed.

The Strategic Communications team works with several vendors to produce a variety of branded promotional items. Departments may order directly from floridapolyshop.com or 4imprint.com where the University logos and brand guidelines have already been established.

The University utilizes Omni for its web Content Management System (CMS) allowing departments the ability to update their appropriate webpages as needed. Please submit a detailed project request if additional user access is needed for your department.
