GPA Requirements

For determining admissibility to Florida Poly, we will recalculate your high school GPA based on grades earned in high school only in core academic subject areas, as well as specified AP and IB classes.

Test Score Requirements

Florida Poly requires freshman applicants to submit official results of at least one college entrance exam (SAT, CLT, or ACT). Superscoring: Florida Poly considers your highest submitted section scores across all SAT and ACT test dates. We strongly encourage you to submit your scores each time you take the SAT, CLT, or ACT. 

  • Florida Poly’s code for SAT is 7303 and for ACT is 2869. 

Course Requirements

You must complete a minimum of 18 approved units of high school work in the five core subject areas in addition to three approved academics.

Transfer Requirements

Transfer applicants must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.0 as well as a minimum GPA of 2.0 and be in good standing as a degree-seeking student at the last institution attended to be considered for admission to Florida Poly. All college transfer applicants with fewer than 30 credit hours of acceptable credit must minimally meet freshman high school unit entrance requirements, the high school academic GPA, and minimum test score requirements.

If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number that the university is able to enroll, a wait list will be established.

As a Florida State University, Florida Poly follows requirements established by the Florida Board of Governors. Regulation 6.001 (7) authorizes universities to refuse admission to applicants due to past misconduct. Regulation 6.002 states minimum state university requirements and test placement information. Satisfying minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to Florida Poly.
