Distance Learning Support

Remote (distance) learning has been initiated this semester to keep our students healthy and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.  To help our students transition to learning remotely, we have assembled some useful resources on this page. Reach out to our distance learning support team with any questions.

Canvas, Florida Poly’s learning management system, brings together all the digital tools and content that students and faculty need to be successful, including course syllabi, assignments, grades, rosters, and announcements.  Log in with your NetId and password from any computer or mobile device. By calling into the conference phone number, you will be able to hear the presenter and other participants. Please allow yourself about five minutes to log into your first WebEx meeting.

Zoom is a video communication platform with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars. Zoom users can record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all within the platform. Technical Support

The Technology Services Help Desk staff is available to assist students, faculty, and staff from 8 a.m. to  8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to  5 p.m. Friday during the fall and spring semesters, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer.

The Help Desk responds to all technical questions, providing consulting advice and processing work requests for the University’s entire IT user community, including students, faculty, and staff. The Help Desk is the single point of contact for IT support and can address issues through multiple channels, including email, by phone, or in person. An online tracking system enables technicians to monitor the status of user requests with a unique identifier to quickly find solutions to common questions, research prior inquiries, and prioritize cases to provide the best service.
