Selfie ID Photo

Official Identification Card

The Florida Poly ID Card is the official identification card of Florida Polytechnic University. It is issued to all students and is required for to access essential campus services.

The card serves as a student ID card and can be used to pay for purchases in the dining halls (with a paid meal plan) and several online services, including the library and printers/copiers. The card also provides access to university buildings.

To get an ID card, students should visit the Auxiliary Enterprises Service Center. Everyone is required to:

  1. Show proof of identification, including a valid driver's license, state-issued ID or passport.
  2. Be an active student, either currently enrolled at or accepted into the University

Your Photo

Students should use the following guidelines to take and submit their ID card photo.

To ensure your photo will be accepted, make sure to follow the following guidelines:

  • Take color photograph without any filters applied.
  • Background should be solid light color without designs or patterns. Avoid panel doors as background.
  • Full front view facing the camera from above the head to across the top of shoulders with enough space around the face to crop photo square.
  • No hat, ear buds or other headgear or dark glasses unless required for religious or medical reasons.

Take a horizontal photo of yourself using your mobile phone of computer webcam. The photo should include your head, neck, and the top of your shoulders.

If you're on campus, feel free to stop by the Selfie Station in the Wellness Center to take your photo in front of a purple background.

Log into your Student Link account and upload your photo.

When  picking up your Florida Poly Card bring a valid, original (not image on phone) government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. 

· Newly enrolled students living in a residence hall pick up their first Florida Poly Card on move-in day.

· Newly enrolled students not living on campus pick up their first Florida Poly Card on the first full day of Orientation.

After the first day of Orientation, Florida Poly Cards will be available in the Auxiliary Enterprises Service Center located in the Wellness Center.

Finding Your ID Card Number

  1. Visit Student Link
  2. Select “Student and Staff Login”
  3. Log in using your Florida Poly credentials
  4. Select “Personalize”
  5. Select “Virtual Card Display” 
 

Lost or Stolen Cards

  • During business hours: Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately by either calling 863-874-8432 or visiting Auxiliary Enterprises in the Wellness Center during normal operating hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ID cardholders are responsible for all transactions that occur before their card is officially reported as lost or stolen.
  • Before or after business hoursLost or stolen cards should be reported immediately through your Student Link account.
